Animal Kingdom won’t be left out of new offerings at Disney World at this summer. The Taste of Africa Street Party is set to debut July 9, wdwmagic.com reports.

The event begins each night immediately after Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade, and runs through park close. On Extra Magic Hours evenings, the event will continue until the end of EMH.

Entertainment includes:

** Music and dance party with Harambe’s DJ Khalifa

** Outdoor vendors selling unusual food and beverages

** Performances by musical group Wasslou

** Beer and wine tastings at Tamu Tamu Courtyard

** Authentic merchandise for sale

** Animal education experiences with the Harambe Wildlife Team

The Taste of Africa Street Party is scheduled for each night through July 24 in the Africa section of the theme park. If the party proves popular, its run at Disney may be extended, wdwmagic.com reports.

    “Authentic merchandise” for sale.

Yes ma’am, these plastic Mickey heads are authentically from China.

Yes sir, these hand-woven African-style objects authentically came from a factory in China where they employ prisoners.

You have obviously never been to Epcot’s World Showcase. The merchandise for sale in the countries is authentic to each country.

It even smells awesome! I’m a Safari driver and had low expectations of this event, but it’s actually not bad. I wish Animal Kingdom’s Africa were like this all day.

Last time I looked, most of the merchandise for sale at World Showcase was made in China.
