Mickey’s merchandise can be creative, tempting
Dewayne Bevil, Merchandise — By Dewayne Bevil on March 19, 2010 at 2:09 pmAs much as I visit the theme parks, I’m somewhat immune to the call of the souvenir stands and gift shops. To buy something every time is just Crazy Talk and fiscally irresponsible. I can exit Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom without breaking stride in the store.
However, on a trip last week to Magic Kingdom, I found myself waiting for the beginning of Spectromagic and wandering through the Main Street establishments. With my T-shirt avoidance issues, it’s not news that I hadn’t seen these items, but they caught my fancy enough to share.

Ah, more monorail merch with the famed Spanish-language warning. It kinda clashes with my gray and red T-shirt of the same theme.

I had not seen the expanded color palette of blank Vinylmations, which previously were a neutral white-grayish. Late last year, yellow, black and red (Mickey colors) were added, along with pink and purple.

Finally, my favorite, a Mickey's Premium-inspired antenna topper. I could just eat it up.

That antenna topper is too cute!
I’ll have to go looking for the hat this weekend. Thanks for the tip!
