Brides, if you dream about a Disney wedding, don’t miss Kirstie Kelly’s trunk show Friday through Sunday at The Collection in Winter Park. Kelly is the couture designer responsible for the princess-inspired gowns in the Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings line.
The dresses represent Disney princesses Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine, Ariel, Belle and Giselle. Kelly also has created bridesmaid and flower-girl dresses and bridal accessories, such as veils and jewelry, including a new line of engagement and wedding rings. View the entire collection here.
The Collection consultants work with brides on an appointment-only basis. To make an appointment for the Kirstie Kelly trunk show, call 407-740-6003. No reservation is necessary for Kelly’s book signing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Her book with David Tutera, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, was released this month.
Kelly revealed her new wedding gown inspired by Princess Tiana in October. ”The Princess Tiana gown is a very special part of the Disney Princess collection,” she has said. “When I look at this gown I see a modern woman that is very comfortable with her own identity. The gown is designed for a bride with a modern sensibility and effortlessly exudes both romance and sultry flair.”
See an interview with Kelly and get a sneak peek at the Tiana gown here. It will be available locally at Kelly’s trunk show March 5 and 6 at The Collection.

There’s nothing about those dresses that look anything like what the characters wore. It’s like the designer never even saw the movies.
I agree, I was excited to see the designs and expected some a little more traditional to the actual characters.
I agree! Look at Cinderella’s gown in the movie or even the new Tatiana…Poofy, beautiful princessy gowns – THOSE are princess gowns…These designs, although they are very beautiful just have a gimmicky Disney label on them because they have absolutely nothing to do with the original princesses.
Shhh! People are spending money! How DARE you point out that those “Disney princess bride” dresses are nothing more than (another) shameless marketing gimmick?
i agree… but the gown are beautiful even if they do not look like the princesses’ gowns. i think that some of the gowns could look like a certain princess such as ariel or belle but be put under a random princess’s name. nonetheless they are very pretty!
They look like gorgeous designs that I am sure are going to sell well!
I think they took the idea and made it there own! Stop criticizing these people! They r beautiful gowns
