magickingdomthumbaWalt Disney World has hired the former chief of staff to ex-U.S. Rep. Ric Keller (R-Orlando) as a resort spokesman.

Bryan Malenius becomes one of three front-line spokespeople in Disney World’s public affairs division, which is responsible for responding to breaking news about the giant resort.

Malenius spent eight years with Keller, working both as chief of staff and communications director during the course of Keller’s four-term career. That ended in 2008, when Keller lost a re-election bid to U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Orlando).

A former reporter with WDBO and ABC News, Malenius had most recently been working for Winning Edge Communications, a public relations and marketing shop.
