Its incredible to see some of the ignorant posts that are left either on the Orlando Sentinel website or here. We have the standard anti corporation, anti big business comments from people who dont really even understand how to read a balance statement and just want to gripe about the “big bad corporation”. Then I always see the same politician throwing nonsense against the wall to see what sticks. It was nice to see that not all of the posters have a shallow view of the economy and business. When did we become a nation of whiners? Disney has created more jobs, more opportunity for business and has pretty much made Orlando relevant. Is it so bad that they try to run an efficient business in this crazy economy?

Disney profits up, Universal down. One main reason is that Disney treats its guests with respect and does not use a GESTAPO like security force as does Universal.

Disney has laid off hundreds of employees to offset the increase cost of real estate taxes and utilities. Disney pays $350 million a year in property taxes. We need to lower government spending so more Disney workers do not lose their jobs.
